Club History

Friends Club was organized in March 1990 by Molly Tully and Joan Turner, whose husbands had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Throughout the organization’s years of service in the community, Friends Club has more than doubled in size and has increased the services it provides to members and their families.

Friends Club was originally sponsored by the Quaker Friends Meeting of Washington. Today, the club is sponsored by Bradley Hills Presbyterian Church and serves as a bridge between the social isolation of early stage memory loss and the more traditional medical adult day programs.

The Executive Director and the Program Director are both experienced in the care of our senior population. In addition, our organization boasts a team of dedicated volunteers who provide insight into discussions and assistance with activities.
